Staying connected to the internet is more important than ever. While Wi-Fi and
mobile data are common ways to access the internet, there are situations where
you may need to share your internet connection with another device using
Bluetooth.
Whether you're in a location with limited connectivity or you simply want to
share your internet connection with a friend, sharing internet through
Bluetooth can be a convenient solution.
In this blog post, we will guide you through the process of sharing
internet through Bluetooth on various devices.
Sharing Internet Through Bluetooth on Android Devices
To share your internet connection on an Android device using Bluetooth, you
can follow these steps:
1
Enable bluetooth on both Devices
Please make sure that Bluetooth is turned on for both the device you would
like to share the internet connection from and the device you wish to share it
with. It is important to ensure that Bluetooth is enabled on both devices to
establish a successful connection for internet sharing.
2 Pair the devices:
To initiate the pairing process between the two devices, access the
Bluetooth settings on each device individually. Within the Bluetooth settings
menu, locate and select the option to pair or connect the devices with each
other. This step is essential to establish a secure and stable connection
between the two devices for seamless communication and data sharing.
3 Enable internet sharing:
Once you have completed the pairing process between the devices, proceed
to the device that serves as the source of the internet connection, which is
the device you wish to share from.
To access the necessary settings, begin by opening the Settings menu on
the source device. Next, navigate to the Connections section within the
Settings menu. Within the Connections menu, locate and select the
option for Mobile Hotspot and Tethering. This will allow you to
configure the necessary settings to enable internet sharing from this device
to the paired device.
4 Share the internet connection:
In the Mobile Hotspot and Tethering settings, look for an option to
share the internet connection via Bluetooth. Enable that option.
5 Connect from the other device:
On the device you want to share the internet connection with, go to the
Bluetooth settings and make sure the devices are paired. Look for the paired
device that has internet sharing enabled, and connect to it.
6Accept the connection:
On the device sharing the internet connection, you may need to accept
the connection request from the other device.
7 Enjoy the shared internet:
Once the devices are connected, the device without internet access should be
able to use the internet connection from the other device.
Kindly be aware that although sharing the internet connection via Bluetooth
can be beneficial in specific scenarios, it may not offer the quickest or
most dependable connection when compared to alternative methods such as
utilizing a Wi-Fi hotspot or USB tethering.
